Judy Montez Achord passed away peacefully Sunday October 24th, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents John Thomas and Lutie Belle Doster and her brother John. She is survived by her husband Jerry Achord Sr., son Jerry Achord, brother Tony, and her four grandchildren. Judy worked as an insurance executive throughout all her working years up until she retired in 2009. She spent many good years during retirement drawing and painting beautiful works of art, growing flowers all over her yard, constantly cooking for her family, catching up with her brothers in Texas, and spending time with her husband Jerry, best friend Ginny, and all of her grandkids. She will be immeasurably missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to New Beginnings Baptist Church in Olive Branch or to the charity of your choice in her honor. A memorial service will be held Thursday November 4th at 2 PM at New Beginnings Baptist Church in Olive Branch.
